The Radio Club of Tacoma is a nonprofit public service organization serving FCC-licensed amateur radio operators in Pierce County, Washington, and throughout the South Puget Sound region.
Visitors and new members are always welcome! We hope you'll take the opportunity to check in to the club's weekly two meter net, attend a club meeting, sign up for a class, visit the Clubhouse on Saturday, take a turn operating the W7DK radio station, discover the library, explore the Doc Spike W7OS antique radio museum, or join us at one of our many activities scheduled throughout the year.
Next Club Meeting
Wednesday, November 12 - 7:30 PM - General Membership Meeting and Program
So join us November 12th for Ham Radio Old Movie Night at the General Membership meeting! Complete with fresh-popped popcorn, snacks and cold drinks.... 40 minutes of classic old Ham Radio clips all tied together into a WayBack Machine to the years of yore - 1930s, 1950s, all the way to the 2000s! We'll have a double feature - Ham Radio in 1939 by Hollywood legends MGM, followed by a humorous British ham radio romp from the 1950s. And of course, just like the years gone by, cartoons and shorts to start - all in a nicely produced video to run for 40 minutes while all the ballots are tabulated - going to be a fun night for all - young AND old alike. And unlike previous presentations, we have worked it out with the Library to tap into the sound system so for the first time, the presentation audio will fill the room!
Hope to see the room packed for Old Movie Night and all the free popcorn popped fresh for the evening!
See you there!
