The W7JHS Northwest 3870/85 AM Group's Winterfest West 2025 will again be held in Mineral, Washington, at the Mineral Neighborhood Christian Center located at 127 Mineral Road North, across the street from Dick and Leslee's house (same as in past years). Doors will open SATURDAY morning January 25, 2025, at 9 AM. The facility is available until 3:30 PM at which point any remaining tables must be broken down and chairs rearranged for Sunday morning church services. Help with this is always appreciated and the older we get, the more it is needed!We have no plans for an organized Friday evening gathering. If you arrive on Friday, food is available locally at Headquarters Tavern on Front Street in Mineral. Also at the Elbe Tavern, and various places in Ashford, Eatonville and Morton.
SATURDAY is now the BIG DAY for our event with swapping and chatting in the morning and our POTLUCK LUNCH** at 1 PM. Please bring a dish to share if you are able. Coffee and tea will be available in the morning. We don’t provide breakfast, but some of the potluck items that show up are appropriate items to go with morning coffee.
**POTLUCK is a meal or party to which each of the guests contributes a food dish. A good rule of thumb is to bring something you like, then you won't be disappointed.
We will have access to the facility beginning FRIDAY afternoon for the purpose of loading up the tables but, as in the past, there will be NO OVERNIGHT access to the inside of the facility. RV's will be ok overnight FRIDAY night ONLY in the church parking lot--sorry, no hookups.
Admission and tables are free, BUT a donation to pay for facility rent continues to be NEEDED and appreciated. All the money collected in the BIG JAR is given to the church. They make good use of our group’s donation so your generosity is greatly appreciated.
Those of you who have been staying at the Mineral Lake Lodge and have tentative reservations for 2025 should confirm those reservations ASAP with Carolyn. Due to switching the BIG DAY from Friday to Saturday, plus the overwhelming response to the recent Winterfest ‘test’ email and the chatter we have heard on the bands, we expect that table space will be at a premium this year. We expect a lot of people and "stuff" will show up, so we encourage everyone to PLEASE share tables.
PLEASE continue to help protect the church’s tables from damage. If you think your equipment might scratch them, bring something to put between your gear and the table tops.
