The Radio Club of Tacoma cordially invites all amateur radio operators around the world to seek out the elusive "BIGFOOT" on the airwaves of the Pacific Northwest, in celebration of National Sasquatch Awareness Day, October 20th!
We are sure there will be multiple sightings of the BIGFOOT Special Event Stations, but the challenge will be to contact W7B, W7I, W7G, W7F, W7O (participants must work W7O at least twice on 2 different modes, bands, or Zulu days), and W7T to claim the coveted Full Stomp on the BIGFOOT Certificate!
ANYONE can apply for the certificate. But if you only work ONE of the stations, it's probably best to just request the QSL card. If you work MORE than one station, it's best if you apply for the certificate - and you will also recive a QSL card for the FIRST of the stations you worked.
Radio Club of Tacoma (W7DK) club members will be operating the BIGFOOT callsigns starting on October 16th at 0000 Zulu, and the special event will end on October 21 at 2359 Zulu. Stations will be using CW, phone, FT8/FT4, RTTY and PSK modes, and will be operating on 80, 40, 20, 15, and 10 meters at various times throughout each day.
Everyone working the event stations can request an event QSL card by sending your QSL card and an SASE. Or send a check or money order for $5.00 to the address below if you wish the FULL CERTIFICATE. Those operators who work ALL of the special event stations will get a stamp for the Full Stomp.
