Website
The first Radio Club of Tacoma website, w7dk.org, was created in 1999. The site has gone through a number of administrators and stylistic changes since that time. The current implementation was designed and inaugurated in 2012 by Joe Lester K7ZG (now SK).
Thanks to the Internet Archive's "Wayback Machine", you can actually view old incarnations of the RCT website. The first still-usable snapshot was taken in December 2000. Start your wayback journey, here.
USER ACCOUNTS -- Club members are encouraged to create a user account on the W7DK.ORG website. Registered users may log in with their user name and password to access the member's only menu, which is displayed above the main menu in the left column of the home page. Important - when creating a new account, please use your ham radio call sign as your User Name.
LOG IN PROBLEMS? -- If you encounter trouble logging in or don't receive the automatic validation message in your email inbox when you first create your new account, please contact the website administrator. Technical glitches in the process are usually easily fixed.
NOTES:
- Account creation will succeed only for dues-paid members. Bots will be ignored.
- Account creation involves a final, manual step that requires an administrator to view an email and take action. Sometimes there is latency in this step, normally not more than a day.
- Latency can also occur if you have a pending membership application that has not been fully processed. This, too, involves manual, clerical activity... thanks for your patience.
- Members who do not renew may find their website access disabled after the end of the year. If you renewed late and are unable to access the website, please send email to the Website Administrator.
